Chapel Lawn Air Gun Club is a rifle club located at the Redlake Valley Village hall, Chapel Lawn, Bucknell. Our club nights are Mondays from approx 8.30pm to 10.30pm either in Pubs or Village Halls. We shoot with 0.177 Competition air rifles at a 0.375"(9.55mm) bell target over a distance of 6 yards. Chapel Lawn shoot as part of the Clun Valley Air Gun League and is the only club in the league to boast two teams. website Cricket Club Clun Cricket Club play their home matches on Sunday afternoons at Hurst Mill Farm, one mile east of Clun on the Craven Arms Road. Matches usually commence at 2.30 pm. Visitors are welcome to the ground on match days and 'cricket teas' are usually available for purchase by spectators between innings (about 4-4:30 pm). Practice sessions and Nets are held at the ground throughout the season on Wednesday evenings starting at 7 pm. New players of all ages are welcome to join in these sessions where limited coaching and supervision will be available. Membership fees for 2009 are payable to any committee member or posted through the door at Rose Cottage in Castle Street. Players £20; Juniors £8; Supporter Members £8. Match fees for 2009 are £3 (£5 for casual players who are non-members). White Horse Air Rifle Club is sponsored by Jack Limond at the White Horse Inn where the club was first formed in 2008. Matches and practice used to take place in the Restaurant. However to avoid diners having to duck, this was only after the last of the puddings and coffee had been finished! Now the Club is based in the Bar Area at the Memorial Hall but the Club is pleased to retain its name and association with the White Horse. Matches take place on a Monday evening (8.30 pm) from September through to March and there is a practice most Wednesday evenings at 8.30 pm. Newcomers are very welcome to come along to the practice night and should contact Jax Fothergill beforehand on 01588 640908 to check that practice is taking place that week.
