I have been taken to task by William Jenkyns for not keeping the News Page up-to-date.  Fair comment.  Clun is very quiet in the Winter and nothing much has happened except the normal rising of the river - twice has the River Clun overflowed its banks but not sufficiently to close the Clun Bridge.

Artist - Designers - Craftsmen  The Clun Valley is very fortunate to have a multitude of artists, designers and people involved in various crafts. There is now a new page providing listings of arts, designers, craftsmen.  It is very minimal at present - 1 artist; 1 designer.  Contact me if you wish to be listed.  It is free, as is an email address.  If you want a link to your website it is £5 per annum.  The only criteria for listing is that you live in the Clun Valley area and that what service you offer is suitable for general viewing.

Clun Post Office has moved 20 yards up Church Street.  The grand opening was on Thursday 8 March - made both Radio Shropshire and BBC TV Midlands Today - click on BBC Web News for the full story.

.History of Clun  The history section is gradually being expanded by including the excellent research undertaken by Jean Withers for the now defunct Clun Courier, the forerunner of the Clun Chronicle.  Currently only three pieces have been included:-  additional historical information on St George's Church, the origins and inception of Clun Museum and the Town Hall built by Edward Clive, son of Robert (Clive of India).  Hopefully illustrations will be added later.
