A warm
welcome awaits you when you visit Hurst Mill Farm. The farm and
cottages nestle in the Clun valley beside the river. The market town of
Clun, with
its pubs and shops, is just over a mile away. Attractions on the
farm include Pickles the young terrier, Trigger the pony and my black
sheep.
Bed and
Breakfast Accommodation AA
Our mixed farm is an attractive stone farmhouse
and garden. There are washbasins in the bedrooms, and one bedroom is
en-suite. Guests have private use of the bathroom and shower, dining
room and sitting room with TV. Our conservatory is very popular. The
house is fully centrally heated with a log fire in the lounge. There
are tea and coffee trays in the bedrooms. The kettle is always on.
Packed lunches are available. We offer traditional cooking but can
also cater for vegetarians. We are a Shropshire Breakfast Award
Winner! Children and dogs are welcome.
Self-catering Accommodation

Created from an old stone barn, each cottage
offers imaginative and well-appointed accommodation with the many extra
facilities that will add to a superb holiday, including Clay shooting by
arrangement. The cottages have open fires in the lounge and are
fitted with oil-fired central heating. All fuel, power and an
initial supply of logs are included in the rent, as is the bed linen.
Ample parking for three cars. Cot, high chair, colour TV.
Automatic washing machine, tumbler dryer and deep freeze are all in a
separate shared and metered utility area. The cottages also have
microwave, garden and patio with chairs and river views. Pets are
welcome under strict control (to protect livestock). Meals can be
provided at the farmhouse if required. The cottages may be booked together
to accommodate large parties.
Dipper: Large lounge with dining area and open fire, kitchen with
river views, and garden access, bathroom with toilet and basin, and a
shower room with toilet, 2 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 single, extra adult
sized sofa bed in the lounge.
Kingfisher: Large lounge with dining area, open fire and piano,
kitchen with river views and garden access, bathroom with toilet and basin
and a shower room with toilet, 3 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 twin, 1 compact
single dorm (more suited to a child), extra adult sized sofa in the
lounge.
Wagtail: Very large, spacious kitchen/dining room containing
fully fitted pine kitchen units, fridge, hob, oven and microwave.
Useful back porch is also fitted with a toilet and basin. Cosy
sitting room with open fireplace. A divided staircase leads to 1
double, 1 twin, 1 (solid pine) bunk bedroom, a bathroom and separate
shower. Many exposed beams.
