Within short walking distance of Clun High Street and Castle, the refurbished large hall is suitable for indoor sports, dances, concerts, drama productions, and private functions. Adjoining is a lounge/bar area that can be opened up for parties and dances. With dividing doors shut the lounge/bar can be used as a small meeting room. There is a raised stage area of good size with dressing room and toilet. Additionally there is a small committee room seating up to 18 persons. The kitchen has just been refurbished with a grant from the late South Shropshire District Council. We now have a Lincat 6 burner gas cooker, a hotcuboard, large refrigerator, dishwasher, large commercial sized sink and draining board, commercial microwave. Most work surfaces are stainless steel. The hall accommodates 300 for dances, 230-seated concert style and 150 seated at tables. There is disabled access and facilities. The extensive grounds include a floodlit ball court, playing pitch and picnic areas; parking for 74 vehicles. We welcome enquiries about unusual events - we provide overnight accommodation for the annual Across Wales Walk, a checkpoint for the Horse Endurance Trials and groups have used the hall and grounds for camping holidays.
